The Amsterdam Canal Pride Parade is one of the biggest events in Amsterdam, attracting over 500,000 people every year. This year, the pride parade was on August 4, 2018. We were lucky to witness it from one of the boats parked in the canal where the parade passed.
The boat parade this year was focused on human rights, with organizations such as Greenpeace and Amnesty International taking part in the celebrations.
If you like festivals and enjoy witnessing and being a part of large events that bring people together, the Amsterdam Pride Festival is surely not to be missed. This year, the crowd was entertained by a special opening with performers in water jetpacks and Dutch companies (including the government) went all out by giving us all an entertaining show with the colorful boats.
