How to Get There

Mount Batulao is around 80 kilometers from Manila.  The drive takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes via the Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas Expressway and the Nasugbu Highway.

Here are the common ways to reach the jump-off point:


  • Public Transportation: Take a bus from Cubao or Buendia to Nasugbu. From there, ride a jeepney or tricycle to KC Hillcrest Golf Course, the jump-off point for the New Trail.

  • Private Vehicle: Drive to KC Hillcrest Golf Course. There's ample parking available near the registration area.

What to Expect

  • Duration: 4-5 hours roundtrip

  • Distance: 6.5 kilometers

  • Difficulty: Easy to moderate. The trail is well-established and mostly gradual, with some steeper sections near the summit.

  • Scenery: Expect picturesque views of rolling hills, lush greenery, and unique rock formations. On a clear day, you can see the Batangas coastline and nearby mountains.

  • Highlights: The New Trail features several scenic spots, including the campsite, the peak with the iconic "cross," and the summit with panoramic views.

  • Guides are optional: The New Trail is well-marked, but you can hire a local guide if you prefer. The cost of a local guide is 800 pesos for a group of 5 max.
